A loan helped to buy soap and charcoal for resale.

01_Kambengkafoo Group's story

These 15 brave women are from the same village and were able to join the banc villageois created in December 2010 in their town. They get along and help one another. They benefited from several loans, which were paid back on time.

Madame Fatoumata is the 49-year old group representative and is standing on the far right of the photo with her hand raised. She is married and has three children. Madame Fatoumata runs a small retail business selling soap and charcoal. She stocks up at the wholesale central market and resells from her home. She has several years of experience.

She will use this loan to buy four bags of charcoal and four cartons of soap that she hopes to resell with a good margin. She will use the profit to cover her family expenses and save some money.
