Ayisha's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to process pomade and hair cream in large quantities to meet her customers' demands.

Ayisha's story

Ayisha is a 33-year-old entrepreneur, who lives with her husband and children in the Tamale metropolitan of Ghana.

Ayisha processes shea butter into pomades and hair cream. With her first Kiva loan, Ayisha was able to produce the pomade and creams in higher quantities to increase her profit margin. She used the profits to support her family’s basic needs and support other needy children in her community.

Ayisha is now requesting a second loan to be able to produce the shea butter in large quantities to meet her customers' demands. She plans to use the profits she earns to support her children and to send one girl back to school.

Ayisha will repay the social interest on her loan by volunteering two-and-one-half hours per week as a CAMFED business mentor, empowering members of the CAMFED Alumnae Association, CAMA, by employing them and offering them career guidance.
