Imaam Khatoon's story

Financial constraints alongside the desire for a better life and good quality education for her four children are only a few of the valuable factors that encouraged Imaam Khatoon to start a business. She started her business selling animals by taking a loan from Kashf Foundation.

Imaam Khatoon is 58 years old and is a widow. She buys animals (calves) at low prices, brings them up and then sells them in the market at higher prices. She makes enough through her business to contribute in the family income. She also sells milk to generate extra income. She needs to improve her business to meet her household expenses. For this reason, she contacted Kashf Foundation and applied for a loan of PKR 75,000 to purchase more animals to increase her sales. She is very experienced and has good contacts in the market. With this loan, she will definitely expand her business and income level.
