Santos's story

Santos, 24, is a married young man with one child.

He works as a bricklayer, working in construction for five years. He was raised by his mother and started working in agriculture at a young age, which prevented him from continuing with his education for a lack of money. He decided to travel to another country to work for a time as a bricklayer assistant.

He learned to work on vertical construction projects, his main work that earns him an income to support his family. He also has been able to start building his home, where he lives with his partner, who's expecting their second child.

He's requesting a loan from FUNDENUSE through Kiva to build a bathroom in his house because at the moment he has a latrine that's not in very good shape.

His short-term goal is to expand his house. His plans for the future are to improve his house and start a car-wash business and a welding shop.
