El Aguacate Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy a large pot and suchiles to prepare tamales and chuchitos [traditional Guatemalan dish] to sell.

El Aguacate Group's story

Jesus is the new leader of the group. She is a widow and lives alone because her children already have their own family. She sells snacks in general such as chuchitos [maize husk-wrapped tamales], atoles [corn based drink], salsa and avocado toasts, bread with ham, chicken and sausage. She also sells tamales, paches and chicken.

She leaves early every day to sell enough and thus be able to cover her clothing and food expenses, because her children give her money but it is not enough.

She gets many orders for chuchitos and tamales but she does not have enough money to buy what she needs and she requests a loan to buy a large pot to cook tamales and chuchitos, and to buy suchiles (chili, rice, pepper, tomato, leaves for tamales, etc.) so that the food she prepares is full of good flavor in order to attract more customers.
