A loan helped to purchase hybrid seeds and fertilizer for the cultivation of maize.

Everlyne's Group's story

Everlyne, pictured above, has been a farmer for 10 years, and she is now proud to represent her group of 6 farmers in Teso District. She is 32 years old, married and has 4 children.

Everlyne likes to think of herself as a very hardworking individual. She joined One Acre Fund since 2018 and decided to represent her group because she likes being a leader. She says that being part of the One Acre Fund community has help her gain a lot of respect in her community. Everlyne plans to use the profits from this coming season to buy a cow.

In total, Everlyne’s Group will receive inputs to cultivate 2.25 acres of land. Given that some members of the group will also be purchasing a solar light, with this loan, the group will also receive 1 solar light.
