Lonah's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to purchase farming inputs, such as fertilizers and hybrid seeds, in order to boost the quality of her horticulture produce, earn more profits, and elevate her living standards.

Lonah's story

Lonah (a returning Kiva borrower) is a very happy woman living in Nandi Hills, a region whose beautiful hills form vivid patterns that have been the training ground for some of the world’s most prominent athletes like Kipchoge, the INEOS marathon champion. She is a mother of two children, who she has supported through mixed farming for eight years. Her main sources of income are dairy and crop farming. Lonah is seeking a loan to purchase farming inputs, such as fertilizers and hybrid seeds, in order to boost the quality of her horticulture produce, earn more profits, and elevate her living standard.

Her remote village is one of the country's most populated regions, and has a high demand for food. This means that Lonah could increase her profits and satisfy the demand for horticulture products there. Lonah feels relieved because Juhudi Kilimo is partnering with the wonderful Kiva lenders to help hard-working and honest female farmers, like her, turn their farming dreams into reality through training and loan financing. Lonah believes that this loan will be helpful. Kindly lend to her and keep her smiling! She promises to repay the loan. This is a chance for lenders to contribute to a transformation in the life of a mother this year.
