Salome's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy more banana suckers and multiply her produce, so that she can earn enough income to educate her children.

Salome's story

This is Salome (pictured above), a repeat Kiva borrower and mother of two. She lives in Nyamira, Kenya, a town where the main economic activities includes agricultural processing, particularly in horticulture and banana.

Salome started practicing mixed farming 10 years ago. This means she grows banana, tea, and also keeps dairy cows. She has gained so much experience throughout the time she has been farming.

Over the last few months, demand for bananas in her local market has been on the rise, and farmers are taking advantage by selling bananas at very high prices. Salome is requesting a loan to buy more banana suckers and multiply her produce.

With this loan, Salome will be assured of a good harvest, which will translate into more profits and income. She wants what any mother would want, which is a bright future for her children.

You can support Salome in making her dreams come true by making a loan. She really hopes to receive the support of lenders and is looking forward to a warm response. She expresses her thanks in advance.
