Total loan: $500

Kericho, Kericho County, Kenya / Agriculture

Noreen's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy farm inputs such as fertilizers to improve her tea farm, sell her tea to local tea processing factories and earn profit to pay tuition fees for her children.

Noreen's story

Noreen (a repeat Kiva borrower) is a 35-year old mother of two children living in Kericho, a town where the main economic activities include agricultural processing, particularly in horticulture and tea. Noreen grows tea and also keeps dairy cows. She has gained so much experience throughout her years of farming. With her farming income, she has sent both her two children to school.

Although Noreen has been earning profit through tea farming, not everything has been easy for this humble and industrious mother. Her tea farm has not been producing as much of a harvest lately due to a lack of fertilizer to improve her farm. She is humbly on her knees seeking a loan to buy farm inputs such as fertilizers to improve her tea farm. With this loan, Noreen will be assured of a good tea harvest. This will translate into more profit and income. Noreen wants what any mother would want for her children: a great future and to pay their tuition fees. You can support her dreams with a loan. Together with her hubby and children, Noreen is very thankful for your warm consideration and helping hand this month of love.
