Dulmaa T. is 37 years old and lives with her husband and two teenage sons in Uvs province, Mongolia. She and her family live together in a ger, the Mongolian nomadic tent in a yard which belongs to her relatives. She and her husband are planning to purchase their own plot of land this year with their business profit. Currently, Dulmaa operates a shoe and saddle manufacturing business with her husband at their home. They have been operating their business since 1996, and it has steadily expanded. Her husband, Basan, makes the saddles and Dulmaa manufactures the shoes. Their business is well known to their customers. With their business profit, they purchased the ger which they are living in now. They are planning to create their own workplace after they purchase the plot of land for their family. Their product sales are high especially during the spring, summer and autumn. Dulmaa and her husband are both very hardworking people who are trying to provide better life for their family. Dulmaa says, 'I have been planning to save some money to pay university tuition fees for my two children who will become university students soon.” She is requesting a 2,000,000 tugrug (~ 1465 USD) loan to purchase necessary materials to manufacture shoes and sell them to her many customers.
