06_Keur Serigne Bara Group's story

This group is made up of 9 women who share strong bonds of solidarity and mutual aid. They live in the same neighborhood and seized the opportunity to join the "banc villageois" at the moment of its establishment in December 2008. Their main activity is retail sales.

Madame Mbarka (standing on the far right of the photo with her hand raised) is the representative of the group. She is 54 years old. She is married and the mother of three children, one of whom is a 15-year-old girl. She sells fresh fish. She has experience in this business as she has been doing it for several years.

With this loan, she plans to buy crates of fresh fish in Saint Louis to resell to her customers.

With the profits, she plans to reinforce her savings, develop her business, and provide for her needs and those of her children.
