Victoria's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to expand her business by importing items to sell from Tanzania.
Victoria is a 23 year old entrepreneur who lives with her mother in Mzimba North District in Malawi. She runs her own business selling wrappers (traditional cloth) and clothes to the community. With her first Kiva loan, Victoria bought additional products to sell. She used the profit she earned to support her family and siblings with school-going costs. Victoria is now requesting a second loan to expand her business by importing items to sell from Tanzania. She plans to use the profit she earns to further her education and continue to support her family. Victoria will repay the ‘social interest’ on her second loan by volunteering 2.5 hours per week as a CAMFED Alumnae Executive, using her expertise to mentor and support fellow CAMA borrowers in her community to complete repayment of their loans.
