Paulo Nasila Group's story

Mrs. Emilenne is a client of Hekima and leads the Paulo Na Sila Group. Mrs. Emilenne is married, 43 years old, and the mother of eight children, all of whom attend school. Her partner is a shopkeeper.

Mrs. Emilenne sells foodstuffs, having started this business 20 years ago with startup funds received from her husband. Later, she joined Hekima to support her business, which has allowed her to progress over time. With this new loan, Mrs. Emilenne will purchase supplies including potatoes, banana trees, sweet potatoes, and cassava leaves, which will strengthen her startup capital. What is challenging about her business is that the roads from the farms are in poor condition, which causes some of her merchandise to be damaged in transit.

Mrs. Emilenne would like to [continue sending] her children to school and feed her family. She would like to close by thanking Hekima and its partners for the support they provide to small-business entrepreneurs who lack access to the traditional banking system.
