Kry's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy supplies for the construction of safe latrine and pay laborers of their services.

Kry's story

Kry is an experienced farmer and started this occupation more than 10 years ago. Kry has two lovely children, who are attending school and depend on her income. Kry manages one hectare of farmland for rice cultivation and earn a daily income of $5 per day. Collecting rice crops and selling to the local market is the major source of her family's income.

As she doesn't have a safe latrine yet at home, she would like to acquire a loan to buy supplies for the construction of a safe latrine and pay laborers for their service. With another portion of the loan, she will also build water storage, so she can ensure enough water for the household in both seasons and save time in collecting the water.

She thanks lenders for contributing their own money in a program like Kiva via its partner, HKL, to help low-income people gain access to water and sanitation.
