Annex's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase hybrid seed and fertilizer to improve her maize harvest.

Annex's Group's story

Meet Annex, who is often described as an extremely experienced farmer. She is 53 years old and has six children. As a group leader, she is representing 16 farmers in Lugari District, Kenya.

Annex is working with One Acre Fund again this season as this means that she will have access to quality training and be able to acquire new farming methods, which is why she decided to join in the first place. Annex says that she is happy to have made that decision because, since she joined in 2015, she has had a healthier life due to better nutrition, and this has improved her day-to-day life significantly. Annex will use the profits from this season to send her children to school.

The group will use this loan to purchase seed and fertilizer to plant a total of 12 acres. One member of the group will also purchase a solar light.
