08-Nema Group's story
This group of 17 women has belonged to the banc villageois since its creation in May 2009. They live in the same district and get on well together. Small trade enables them to improve their living conditions through the revenue that they earn. They make up a dynamic and united team which explains the solidarity among the members of this group. Mme. Diaw, who has her hand raised in the photo is the leader of the group. She is 38 and is married with five children. She will use her new loan to buy soap and also flour for preparing fritters. She has much experience in this business. She plans to use her profits to renew her stock of merchandise to avoid a shortage of supplies causing her business to cease, and to provide for her children.
