Gladys' Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to purchase hybrid seeds and fertilizer for the cultivation of maize.

Gladys' Group's story

Gladys, pictured above, has been a farmer for 10 years, and is now proud to represent her group of 10 farmers in Teso District. She is 51 years old, married, and has four children.

Gladys likes to think of herself as a very experienced farmer. She has been working alongside One Acre Fund since 2017 and decided to represent her group because she wanted to be more active in her community. She says that being part of the One Acre Fund community has meant that she has gained a lot of respect in her community. Gladys plans to use the profits from this coming season to send her children to school.

In total, Gladys’s Group will receive inputs to cultivate 6.5 acres of land. Given that a member of the group will also be purchasing a solar light with this loan, the group will also receive one solar light.
