Harriet's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase hybrid seeds and fertilizer to improve harvests of maize.

Harriet's Group's story

Pictured above is Harriet, often described as an extremely resourceful person. She is 31 years old and has six children. As a group leader, she is representing her group of 12 farmers in Teso District, Kenya.

Harriet is returning this season to work with One Acre Fund again as this means that she is able to earn enough to feed her family, which is why she decided to join in the first place. Harriet says that she is happy to have made that decision. Since she first joined in 2018, she has learnt a lot from farming trainings, which has improved her day-to-day life significantly. Harriet will use the profits from this season to repair her home.

The group will use this loan to purchase seeds and fertilizer to plant a total of 8 acres.
