Joram's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy cost efficient maize seeds and fertilizer, for the coming harvesting season.

Joram's Group's story

Pictured above is Joram, who as a group leader, is representing his group formed by six farmers in Matete District, Kenya. He is a father to seven children and is known by his community as a very resourceful person.

Initially, Joram joined One Acre Fund in 2014 because he wanted to earn enough to feed his family. Since he joined the program he says that his life has improved, especially because he has been able to save more money. With the profits from the coming harvesting season, Joram plans to save more money for the future.

Between the six farmers in Joram's Group, a total of 3.25 acres of land will be planted using the maize seeds and fertilizer received with the loan.
