Esperanza X Group's story

This group calls itself Esperanza X (Hope X) because they expect much of themselves. They are located in the Arboledas de Loma Bella community in the state of Puebla. The group is composed of 11 members. Ana Isabel, the group's president, is 39 years old and studied through the 3rd year of secondary. She has 3 children (2 girls and a boy). She has sold meals for the past 5 years and is requesting a loan to advance her business. Her customers think she offers good flavors and agreeable treatment. As she solicits this loan she feels quite content and wants to invest the money in her business in hopes of improving her quality of life. Lucia is another member of this group. She is 41 years old and studied up to the 3rd year of secondary. She is married and has 2 girls. For the last 4 years she has dedicated herself to handicrafts. She requests a loan to buy felt. Her customers, in the majority women, frequently ask for it for their artisan work. She felt very happy upon requesting this loan to invest in her business. Also, she hoped to advance by means of this activity.
