01_Thiarédendel Group's story

This group of eight women is from the banc villageois that was founded in the region in February 2000. They have family ties and have good business relationships and solidarity. They have repaid several loans on time. Their primary activities are business and raising animals.

Madame Ngoné, age 52, is the leader. She is on the far right side raising her hand. She is married and the mother of seven children, including two boys.

Madame Ngoné runs a business fattening steers. She makes her purchases and sales in nearby markets. She has good experience of over 10 years.

She will purchase two steers, which she will fatten and resell after three months for a good profit margin. Her business is going well because after each sale she purchases more stock.

Her profits will allow her to grow her savings in the banc villageois and increase her livestock.
