Kalolaine's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy some more pandanus for her weaving business and also some mulberry for her tapa-making business.

Kalolaine's story

Kalolaine is 54 years old. She is married to a farmer, and they have five adult children. Kalolaine runs a business of weaving and tapa making. She has been running these two businesses for decades and it has been her family's main source of income.

Kalolaine joins a group of women in their village, and together they weave and make tapa. They weave from Monday to Friday, and conduct their tapa making on Saturday. Many hands help to make the job easier. When Kalolaine's products are ready, she sends them to her relatives overseas to market and sometimes sell at their local market.

Kalolaine is applying for a loan in order to buy pandanus and mulberry for her businesses. She is working towards her dream of having a new house, and just last year, the building started.
