Awa's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy 50 bags of locust bean seeds and to save money to care for her family.

Awa's story

Awa is the mother of four children, two of whom attend school. She has been a merchant in a peripheral neighbourhood for over 11 years, where she stocks up on cereals and resells them at opportune times.

This is her second loan cycle with YIKRI, and she repaid her second Kiva loan without difficulty. She is seeking a new loan to buy 50 bags of locust bean seeds to increase her stock of goods. She will use some of her profits to reinvest in and grow her business. She will also save money to care for her family.

Lastly, she thanks YIKRI and its partners for the support the provide to non-bankable entrepreneurs. Thanks to YIKRI loans, she has been able to put aside savings to care for her family.
