James's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase stocks of general merchandise for the shop he started after losing his wife.

James's story

James is 65 years old and a resident of Kiwangala Village in Buikwe district. James is a single father of four and a businessman operating a retail shop in Kiwangala Village. He is also currently engaged in the coffee business because it’s in season.

James started this retail business twenty years ago when he lost his wife to illness and couldn’t continue farming since he was always accompanied by his wife. He decided to set up the retail shop to help him generate money to support his family. This business also helped him to educate his children, and now they are currently helping him run the different businesses.

He has sought a loan of 5,000,000 UGX (five million shillings only) to help him expand his stock through purchase of general merchandise. In this way, he will become more competitive and also continue providing for his family. He hopes with the mercy of the Almighty that he will be in a good place to buy himself a truck to transport his coffee to marketplaces and also pick it from farmers.
