Paskalia's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase farm inputs, such as nutrient-rich fertilizer and certified seeds, to help boost yields and improve sales.

Paskalia's story

Paskalia is a mother of four kids and is an empathetic, trustworthy, and hardworking smallholder farmer. She raises different animals and farms different crops. She began this work out of economic necessity. Access to modern-quality seeds and fertilizer is the key ingredient of agricultural success. However, in Kenya, a developing and third-world country, fertilizer and seed allocation by the government is way below the needs of farmers. Since Juhudi Kilimo, which is in partnership with Kiva, ventured into the affairs of smallholder farmers in Kenya, farmers can attest that there has been a significant improvement in input availability.

Paskalia is humbly on her knees requesting a loan to buy farm inputs, such as certified seeds and nutrient-rich fertilizers. Your loan will enable her to improve her crop production through the use of quality farm inputs. This intervention will help her meet the increasing demand for food in the market and, in the process, generate more income to repay the loan debt and improve her family's quality of life. Lenders, kindly do not hesitate; hit that lend button on your computer/phone and help this humble mother with a loan!
