Balikatan Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to repair her tricycle, which she uses in selling ready-to-wear clothes on a day-to-day basis.

Balikatan Group's story

Rosie used the loan she received from Kiva to buy school uniforms and other ready-to-wear clothes, which she sold to her customers. She and her group used the loan according to their respective business plans and were able to pay it back diligently.

Another member of the group, Rosita, also sells ready-to-wear clothes. She has been in this business for 20 years now and does her selling itinerantly, using a customized tricycle to display her products. She usually goes to populous areas in each community, stays there for some minutes to sell, and then moves to another community. Recently, her tricycle broke and needs to be fixed. Rosita is requesting a loan to repair her tricycle, which she uses in selling ready-to-wear clothes on a day-to-day basis. Rosita will also share the loan with other members of the group for their respective business needs.

All group members commit to paying back their loan well as as the previous one.
