Filomena's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase flour, cream, sugar, milk, butter, eggs, salt, margarine, and other ingredients in order to make more traditional bread.

Filomena's story

Filomena is 32 years old, single, and lives with her family in Dili, the capital city of East-Timor. For 9 years, she has been earning a living by making and selling traditional Portuguese bread. She has the business set up in her house.

She previously borrowed and repaid all of her loan with a good habit of paying on time and now wants to further improve her business. She has decided to request a loan from Kiva's field partner, KIF, in the amount of $1,500 USD, to purchase flour, cream, sugar, milk, butter, eggs, salt, margarine, and other ingredients in order to make more traditional bread.

With the loan, she hopes to have a larger inventory to make bread with and offer a variety of products to her customers. Her goals are to grow her business, satisfy her customers, and give her family a better quality of life.
