01_Ngoudianedior Group's story

This group, which includes five women, is the results of a "Banc Villageois" created in July 2014. The women live in the same village and share strong friendship and mutual assistance bonds. They all work in sales and have been repaying their loans on time.
Madam Daba, 52 years old, is the group's representative, standing at the right of the picture with her hand raised. She is a married woman with five children: two sets of twins and a daughter. Three of them attend school.
Madam Daba has a business selling dried and smoked fish as well as ice cream. She buys her supplies at weekly markets and sells from her home and at the local school. She has over nine years of experience in this field..
With this loan, she will buy baskets of dried and smoked fish, bags of baobab fruits, sugar, bissap (hibiscus drink) and other items to make ice cream which she will sell with a profit margin.
Her business is doing well because ice cream is very popular with children.
Her profits enable her to meet her needs, to support her business and enhance her savings.
