Hannah's story

Meet 48-year-old Hannah from Liberia. She is married and has 7 children, all of her children are currently in school and live at home. Hannah attended school until 3rd grade. She mainly sells rice, fufu, palm nuts and palm oil. She started the business with some financial help from her husband and her mother taught her how to sell. She uses car to transport supplies to her business site. Hannah sells 6 days a week. She requested this loan from Brac Liberia, KIVA Field partner to purchase more rice, fufu, palm nuts and palm oil to sell to her good clients. She likes her business because it gives her more profits and sends her children to school. She says that the extra income from this loan will help improve their standard of living. In the future, she wants to build her house. She says thanks and gives appreciation to Brac and the Kiva community for their support.
