Emmy's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy cereals (corn and beans) to resell so this mother can improve her income and be better able to support her family during this season.

Emmy's story

Emmy, a 30-year-old mom of four, is a smallholder farmer based in Bomet, Kenya. She owns a small parcel of land that she uses to grow maize and keep dairy animals. She has also planted trees on it for their aesthetic appearance and for environmental health. The land provides her not only with capital for her business, but also a home for her family.

Emmy is seeking a loan to purchase cereals. The cereals she is seeking serve to replenish stock for her food and her business. The demand for cereals in the nearby market is up. Farmers in the area are rushing to grow more cereal crops.

By placing herself in a position of supplying cereal seeds and still being a cereal farmer, she gets to enjoy profits from selling inputs and crop harvests. She is very pragmatic and considers herself more hardworking than others. Your loan will directly elevate Emmy’s livelihood.

Emmy is so thankful for your unselfish support in advance.
