Janet's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase more groceries to increase her profit margin.

Janet's story

Janet is a 24-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her family in the Garu Tempane district in Ghana. She runs her own business where she retails groceries.

With her previous Kiva loan, she was able to purchase groceries in wholesale quantities to increase her profit margin. Janet is requesting another loan to purchase groceries in bulk quantities to increase her profit margin. She plans to use the profit to further her education.

Janet will repay the social interest on her loan by volunteering 2.5 hours per week as a financial guide. She will deliver a financial-education course to a group of young women in her local community.
