Revine's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to expand her clothing business, in which she sells shoes and clothes.

Revine's story

Revine is a 32-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her husband and two children in the Mpika district of Zambia. Last year she was trained as a Learner Guide in her district, facilitating classes from Camfed’s ‘My Better World’ program with students at her local secondary school, helping to build children’s self-esteem and motivating them to remain in school.

She received a Kiva loan before and successfully repaid it. Now she is requesting a second loan to expand her clothing business, in which she sells shoes and clothes. With her first Kiva loan, Revine expanded her business. She used the profit she earned to support her family's basic needs. Revine is requesting a second loan in order to expand her business and re-invest the profit.

She plans to use the profit she earns to pay school fees for her children and buy books for children who are in need. Revine will repay the ‘social interest’ on her second loan by volunteering three hours per week as a Camfed Learner Guide.
