Kiteso Sacco Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to purchase the ACE 1 energy system in order to have access to solar power for lighting, charging and cooking in a way that is safer, cleaner and saves money.

Kiteso Sacco Group's story

Amina is a 38-year-old woman who lives in a brick house with seven other family members, including five children.

Amina relies on farming and struggles with buying cooking fuels. She spends the most amount of her energy expenses on charcoal, which costs up to UGX 45,000 per month. She also spends as much as one hour per day gathering fuel and fulfilling other energy needs, like phone charging.

Amina and the other members of the group in this village each bought the ACE 1 cookstove to help them save the money they spend every month on fuel and also help them access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices any time for free. The ACE 1 clean cookstove is biomass and solar powered.
