Agness's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to expand her business by buying more fruits, vegetables and fish.

Agness's story

Agness is a 21-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her parents in the Chienge district of Zambia. She buys and sells fruits, vegetables and kapenta (small fish). With her first Kiva loan, Agness used the money to expand her business. She used the profit she earned to support her family. Agness is requesting a second loan in order to further grow her business, and will use the profits she earns for continued growth. Agness will repay the ‘social interest’ on her second loan by volunteering 3 hours per week as a CAMFED Business Mentor, leading sessions to teach less experienced local women how to become successful entrepreneurs by developing their business acumen and sharing the lessons she learned from operating her business.
