Mariano's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy a biodigester to save money and pay for his kids' education.

Mariano's story

Mariano is an ambitious farmer and he is also a businessman. He lives in Estado de Mexico with his family and wants to buy a Sistema Biobolsa in order to save time and money to invest in his business and to pay for his 4 kids' education.

Mariano spends too much time chopping wood and then starting the fire to prepare breakfast. With his Sistema Biobolsa biodigester, he will transform his chickens' manure into renewable energy (biogas).

Mariano will be able to cook breakfast in his biogas stove every morning for his kids and get them ready for school on time so he can work to expand his local business.

As he starts putting the animal waste into the biodigester, bacteria will convert it into both biogas for cooking and nutrient-rich fertilizer that Mariano will apply to his vegetable field.

This loan represents 25% of the full price of the biodigester; the remaining part was covered by a cash down payment and a government subsidy.
