Sharon's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy farm inputs such as seeds and fertilizers to help improve her crop production and make more profits this year 2020.

Sharon's story

Sharon is a 29-year-old mother of four children living in Litein, a town that hosts a number of elite athletes in Kenya. She is sharing her profile for the first time on this platform and she is very happy for this opportunity. Sharon obtains her income through dairy and crop farming.

The biggest problem that farmers from her village face is the huge deficit in access to agricultural inputs, meaning that those farmers' yields and incomes are far below what they could be. Juhudi Kilimo partnered with Kiva to provide financial services to smallholders around Kenya. Through these financial services, farmers from her village like Sharon now can buy productive assets and important agricultural inputs for use on their farms.

Sharon is seeking a loan to buy farm inputs such as seeds and fertilizers. Your loan will enable her to improve her production through the use of quality farm inputs. This intervention will help her fill the increasing demand for food in the market and in the process, generate more income to repay the loan debt and improve the quality of life for her family. Sharon hopes to improve the condition of her house this new year 2020.
