Yessenia Elizabeth's story

Yessenia, age 22, is charismatic and extroverted. She comes from a family in the countryside. She lives with her son and her mother in a community in La Ensillada, in a house that is humble and small, but very full of family love. After being left alone, Yessenia became both father and mother caring for her child.

Seeking the means to get her household ahead, she started a small store in a section of the community where there is not much competition. There she sells bread, eggs, cheese, milk, loose sugar, soft drinks, water, fruit, and vegetables. With her hard work and good customer service, her business has been gaining good clients who go to her store every day for their daily needs.

She wishes to receive a loan to improve her store and to buy staple goods, personal hygiene items, fruit, and vegetables. In this way, she hopes that her neighbors and residents of the community will have the store that they need for their daily consumption.
