Janini De Jesus's story

Janini De Jesus is a micro-entrepreneur from the city of Cartagena and has had a business selling pastries and fried chicken for over 20 years, approximately. Her business was born of the necessity of generating income to help her spouse with the household expenses since they had migrated from the countryside due to being in a conflict zone.

She made the most of having worked in a kitchen and learned all these trades. She began making pastries to order and now has an established customer base which purchases from her every week. She also sells the chicken every day.

Janini De Jesus has as a goal wanting to have her own retail space to offer the products in a better presented and more comfortable way to her customers.

Currently, she is applying for her first Kiva loan, through Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, to invest in the purchase of supplies such as chicken, pork, vegetables, potatoes, rice, and seasonings. Support her.
