Caroline's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy fertilizer and high-quality seeds so a borrower with a good credit standing can increase her crop production and improve her living standards.

Caroline's story

The nice woman you see above is Caroline, a 41-year-old mom of three school-going children. She is from a remote village in the Eldoret area of Kenya. She is a very hardworking person. Thanks to her daily efforts, she has managed to give her family a good start by providing them with a good-quality life.

Caroline’s primary sources of income are crops and cow farming. She also earns some income from a personal business. The Eldoret area is a favorable area for farming, so she is seeking a loan to buy farm inputs such as fertilizer and seeds to enable her to grow more crops, reap maximum profits, and also increase her business. Being a woman and accessing funds in Kenya is very challenging, especially in the Eldoret area, but Caroline feels relieved knowing there are institutions such as Kiva that help enterprising women like her.

Caroline's goal is to improve her living conditions and secure the future of her family. Her biggest dreams are to be able to support her family by herself and to become independent. Caroline counts on your help and hopes for your attention.
