Luz Maris's story
Luz Maris is a 36 year old small business owner, she is married with two children and lives in the city of Barranquilla. She has a lot of experience in the sewing business, she started up 7 years ago with the support of her husband. This small business woman opened her sewing workshop in her home, encouraged by the desire to find other sources of income for her family. Her primary business is the manufacture of women's active wear and blouses. She also produces work wear and school uniforms in addition to clothing repairs. She lives in her own home. Her husband is employed and pays for all the household expenses. She is currently applying for her first Kiva loan through "la Fundación Mario Santo Domingo" (field partner) to buy a sewing machine as well as fabrics, fastenings, thread, fittings and tailoring accessories to make active wear, women's blouses, work wear and school uniforms. Luz Maris would like to buy more machines and send one that she owns away for repairs. In future she would like to hire an operator to increase output and improve her income. Please support her loan application , she will be successful.
