06_Gpf Thioro Ndiayene Bangoye-Ngourane Group's story

This group is composed of five women sharing strong ties of solidarity and mutual assistance. They live in the same village and jumped at the chance to join the women’s group when it was set up in town in 2018. Their main work involves small-scale commerce.

Ms. Thioro (standing at the far right in the photo with a hand raised) is the group's representative. She is 38, married, and the mother of six children, including a girl. She has a small-scale business selling vegetables and enjoys experience in this work for having done it over several years.

With this loan, she envisions buying sacks of cabbages, carrots, eggplant, cassava, and tomatoes to sell retail in her village. With the earnings, she will renew her business and support herself.
