Port- La Guadalupe Group's story

Sonia Janet is 37 years old. She's married, and from this relationship, has 3 children, ages 13, 7, and 6 years. Her spouse works in a local factory.

She belongs to a group composed of 11 women and 1 man who decided to join together to form this credit group through which they hope to improve their businesses and their lives.

She is a very hard-working woman who seeks a way to earn her income and, with it, to help her spouse to get the household ahead. At her house, she has an enclosure where she raises chickens. She raises these small animals for a reasonable time, and when they are of an adequate weight, she sells them to merchants who come to her house, or sells to neighbors and acquaintances who buy from her because of the good flavor these little animals, as she raises them in the most natural way.

She'll use this loan to buy corn and other feed for the hens and chickens.

Her dreams are to give the best to her children and to have a larger farm.

Jean Pierre isn't in the photo because he was at the factory where he works until the loan is received.

You see in the photo members' children who, because they are small, were brought to the meeting where the photo was taken.
