Rosa Lidia's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy 15 quintals of corn, hygienic bags, lime, and other raw materials to continue making and selling tortillas.

Rosa Lidia's story

Rosa currently lives with her three children who are grown. Her children work and contribute toward the household expenses. Rosa's husband died three years go, so she is now the principal pillar of the family.

Rosa says that in order to help raise her children she made the decision to start selling tortillas fifteen years ago. This allowed her to generate additional income for her family. She works from Monday to Sunday, from 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. One advantage she has in keeping her business open is that she has an established customer base, and the location of her business helps her sell her product.

With the loan she is seeking she will have available work capital to buy 15 quintals of corn, hygienic bags, lime, and other raw materials to continue making and selling tortillas. Rosa hopes that with this investment the sales and profitability of her tortilla business will increase. Her business is currently stable, so this loan does not present a major risk. Rosa's dreams are to work to make her business grow, to distribute tortillas to eateries located in the area, and to incorporate new products to meet the needs of her customers.
