Faruku's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped to buy fertilizer and mulch for his banana plantation to increase production and maximize profits.
Faruku, aged 30, is married with two children. He is a farmer who focuses on banana and coffee growing in his region. At harvest, he supplies the bananas to food markets and the coffee to processing factories. When growing up, he helped out on the family farm and it is no wonder that he also ventured into agriculture. Faruku thanks his parents for empowering him with farming knowledge and the skills that he now applies to his farm. He loves and values his business, for it has sustained his family for the past years. In order to improve his yields, he has applied for a loan of 5,000,000 UGX to buy fertilizer and mulch for his banana plantation. He is hopeful that the fertilizer will improve the quality and quantity of his produce, which will attract good prices, thus increasing his income, which will better his family's standards. Faruku is grateful for Kiva, its partners, and UGAFODE for their tireless support.
