Fifita's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy pandanus for her weaving, mulberry for her tapa making, and also plough their plantation.

Fifita's story

This is Fifita. She is 43 years old, married and have ten children. They live at their own home. Fifita runs a business of weaving, tapa making and also plantation. She joins a group of women, and together they make tapas once in a week and conduct their weaving almost everyday. They make tapa of different size and types and also weave mats fihu and taovala from white pandanus only. Fifita's husband takes care of their plantstion. They grow different crops and sell it out at the local market. Her main market day is Saturday. They first started with the plantation business. Then Fifita decided to join weaving and tapa making for more benefits. She is hoping to use her loan money to buy pandanus, mulberry and also plough their plantation. Her vision for the future is to build a new house for her family.
