Lavenia's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy nails, hammers, roofing iron, and timber, as well as hire a carpenter to build her market.

Lavenia's story

They say that life begins at 40 (or, in this case, 41). Lavenia, of Savudrodro Village, is an avid market vendor who sells a wide variety of vegetables, root crops, and ferns.

Lavenia aspires to build her own small municipal market closer to her village. This would put her market, which would be the only one in her area, in the center of the village, meaning that villagers would not have the inconvenience of traveling to the distant Suva market and paying high market fees and transport fares.

As such, she humbly asks for a loan of 5750 FJD to pay for nails, hammers, roofing iron, timber, and a carpenter to do the work. This support and assistance would be a game-changer not only for her, but for the entire village.
