01_Diamaguene Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy fabric and incense to resell.

01_Diamaguene Group's story

This group is made up of five brave women who are part of a banc villageois that was established in the area in August 2008. They live in the same neighborhood and are united in the values of solidarity, respect, and sharing.

They have benefited from several loans that they have successfully repaid. Their main business is in retail.

Madame Ndella is 53 years old and the representative of the group; she is standing on the left in the photo and has her hand raised. She is married and the mother of five children (four boys and one girl) and three of her children are in school.

Madame Ndella is active in the business of selling fabric and incense. She buys her products in the border towns and sells them in the central market where she has a stall. She has over 6 years of experience to draw from.

With this loan she will buy 10 "thioub" boubous (long, dress-like pieces of clothing tie-dyed with indigo), 30 saris, different fragrances of incense, and will pay for the transport and border taxes.

She will resell these at retail with a good profit margin.

The money she makes will allow her to take care of certain household expenses, add to her savings, and further develop her business.
