01_Maïssata Group's story

This group made up of eight women are a part of a banc villageois put in place in September 2008. They live in the same neighborhood and have good, solid and friendly relationships. Their main business is commerce. The lady Aïssata is 71 years old, raising her hand on the left in the photo. She is a widow and mother of eleven, all of whom are adults. Mrs. Aïssata transforms grains (couscous and by-products); she stocks up at the central market and conducts her business at home. She is going to buy 15 sacks of millet, 10 sacks of corn, and firewood to cook and pay for the transport. She sells couscous every evening and makes good revenue. Her profits help her to save up, pay her expenses, and help her children with their family expenses.
