Chalobon's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy a loom, silk thread, a shuttle, and dyeing color for weaving Thai silk cloth.

Chalobon's story

Chalobon lives with her mother in a Khmer village of Surin province. Basically, she makes a living by planting rice, weaving Thai silk cloth, and raising crickets. For raising the crickets and weaving the silk cloth, she has run both businesses for more than 10 years.

Especially, weaving the Thai silk cloth, she is able to produce at least five pieces of cloth per month, and her product is neatly weaved by a loom with five heddles. The business is helpful and able to generate monthly income for her family. Therefore, she sought a financial source and then applied for the Kiva loan to buy a loom, silk thread, a shuttle, and dyeing color for weaving the Thai silk cloth.

Moreover, she plans to allocate some amount of loan to buy boxes or buckets for raising crickets as well. The loan would fully support her business and a local entrepreneur.
