Evelyn's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase the ACE 1 energy system in order to have access to solar power for lighting, charging, and cooking in a way that is safer, cleaner, and saves money.

Evelyn's story

Evelyn is a 40-year-old woman who lives in a brick house with 7 other family members including 4 children. Evelyn works as a nurse but struggles with the cost of cooking fuels. She spends the most amount of her energy expenses on charcoal, which costs up to UGX 50,000 per month. She also spends as much as 1 hour per day gathering fuel and fulfilling other energy needs like phone charging.

Evelyn bought the ACE 1 cook stove to help her and her family save the money spent every month on fuel and also to help them access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices any time for free. The ACE 1 clean cook stove is biomass and solar powered. For more information on the ACE 1 cook stove, please visit www.africancleanenergy.com and Facebook @African Clean Energy.
